I have owned many wonderful dogs, including boxers as a child, Griffons, Spaniels, etc. and began dog training my beloved Airedale in Winston Salem, NC 50 years ago. I am now working with my heart dog, Maggie, completing her CDX title. She’s earned 8 titles in the past 4 years and is continuing to learn new skills with head-on zest.
We are both lifelong learners. Some of my other interests include kayaking, completing two hikes of the Camino de Santiago one through Spain; the other, through Portugal, photography, pottery, French hand sewing, knitting, reading, writing, a passion for historic preservations and wonder at “all things, water”.
The love of a dog is in their cleverness, their sense of wonder at each day, loyalty, and unconditional desire to please, learn and love.
