I have always had a dog in my life but did not become active in showing until I started chauffeuring my mother to different shows in Maryland. I got my first Golden Retriever, Cali, in 2006 and started training in earnest. By the time Cali retired, she had earned her Utility Title and her Rally Excellent in AKC, her Utility Title and URX (equivalent to RAE in AKC) in UKC. While showing Cali, I began showing her mother’s dog, Kobi, earning his Open title in AKC & UKC and his RAE in AKC. I also began training Cali’s daughter, Mysti, in Obedience, Rally and Field.

In 2011, I moved to North Carolina. At this point another Golden came into my life. Willi took to training with great gusto. In 2015 and in 2016, we were invited to participate in the AKC’s Obedience Classic. In 2016 and again in 2017, we were invited to participate in AKC’s Rally National Championship.  Due to knee injuries, Willi had to retire from jumping but still love practicing.

In 2018, I got my 3rd Golden, Sunni. Sunni has been training & has earned her CGC, AKC Rally Novice & Trick Dog Novice. She also had earned her URO1 (Rally Novice) with the UKC.

I earned my United Kennel’s Club Judges’ License in Obedience and have been judging at various shows in North Carolina and Virginia. In 2017 I was invited to judge at the UKC National Gateway in Missouri. I have also earned my Rally Judges license in UKC and have judged several shows before Covid struck

I believe in giving back to the sport I love and try to bring this into my training. I enjoy helping dog owners from the beginner pet person to the more advanced exhibitor as well.
