2017 Class Days & Times

Please note that Breed Handling (Conformation) Class meets by appointment only. This class is handled differently from our other classes; one does not have to pay for a full 8 week session, but can pay per class.  The fee is $10 per dog per class (not per handler, please).   This class helps the Beginning Handler learn the in’s and out’s of handling one’s own dog(s) in the Conformation ring and/or helps the Experienced Handler fine tune his/her companion for showing!!  By appointment only, please use website contacts.

Unless otherwise indicated, classes run for 8 weeks.  Teams are charged the fee of $130 per Team per Session, with the following exceptions:

Please note: the fee for rescued/shelter dogs, with adoption papers  ($120 for the session) only applies to the first session of classes taken.

Please note:  the One Time Session price for “Returning Student” Teams in the following levels: Traditional Obedience Younger Puppy, Older Puppy classes and Traditional Beginner Obedience is $105.

Rally Obedience has been changed back to a 6 week schedule, with the reduced price of $95 for the session.

The schedule is usually as follows, but may vary depending on enrollment demand:

PreNovice Obedience is the springboard to other type venues: Rally Obedience and Agility and of course, higher level Obedience.  To enter Rally and Agility Beginner Classes, a Team must have the recommendation of the PreNovice Instructor and/or be evaluated for his or her skills set.

Rally is held on Mondays and this session of classes runs for 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks.  The weeks we miss are to allow our Membership Meeting, once per month.  In our continuing effort to keep class sizes small AND allow all who wish to take classes with ADTC to attend, times and class levels and/or subject matter are subject to change. Classes begin on Monday nights at 6:30 pm. Although “Intro to Rally”, “Intermediate Rally” and “Competition Rally” are the classes slated, if, for example, we do not have any students wishing to take the Intro class, and have a higher number of Intermediate Rally students, we will hold two Intermediate Rally classes and no Introduction to Rally and so on….. we try to accommodate everyone’s wishes!

6:30 – 7:30 pm (times subject to change)   Rally Novice Obedience This class is open to dogs and handlers who have completed at least one session of PreNovice Obedience training AND who have good heeling skills (tight leashes are a big ‘no no’ in Rally!) and reliable sits, downs and recalls. This class may be repeated as needed.
